Chapter 1

The fading light grimaces beyond the line. The final strands clutch the earth, un-willing to let go. Children scream as monsters crawl from under shadows. Creaking doors bellow banshees moans. Wind howls as wolves come, blood drenched and hunger for more. Leaves rustle as life is drained.
... If only that is what we had to fear. Life would be simple and fearless.

A single barred window traced with the moons glamor, sparkling with the nights tears. a cold draft drifting in from the south. Pebbled floors beneath our toes, stained with sweat and blood.
Three straw beds scattered across the way. Flees. Rats. Matted hair. Only a small number of blood thursty monsters infesting the room. Cold steel doors barriacde the exit. Blood stains the steel, indents score down, bones lay shattered at the base.

In the furthest corner away from the door, a boy of 18 sitting, staring at the steel. Blood red eyes curling inwards. Body tense, back arched, fingers driving into skin. Breathing heavy, sitting straight. The boy punches the way, shooting himself up. He softly rubs his knuckles, lapping away at the dribble of blood.
"God save us" his voice deep and rusty.
Lifting his head towards the window, dragging a deep breath within. Dirt matted hair hanging around his face. Crimson stains crawl over his body. Dead withdrawn eyes scan the room. His tall frame slightly hunched over. His shirt draping around his flesh, trousers belted to his waist. Scraps of material dangle from clothing a stitching fails.
"Where is he?"
Another deep voice crawls from the opposite corner.
"Who? God? ... He's not real ... and if he is then he has abandon us forever" hatred clutching his voice.
"So get your head out of the clouds. This is our life, live with it and deal with it!... We have it better than anyone. we get food... we are alive. Remember what Boyde told us? That if we stay under his roof we will be able to help the world. If anything Boyde is God... "
Emerging from the shadows a large wolf appears. His black fur covered in webs and matted from abuse. A large bandage covering his left eye, stained red and green. His skin clutching his bones, revealing all.
The boy stares wide eyed at the wolf. His mouth gapping in shock.
"I can not beilve you said that... if the world is dead then how is it that Boyde get's food? Or that the sun shines? or the night weeps? He is no God. Would a God beat us? NO! He is a demon! We are not! He is using us for something... and I don't like it. Think about it brother! THINK! There is something outside of this prison that is like nothing we have ever seen. The real world. i know you still believe in it... you ar just too stuborn. We have to think about our younger brother. We can not give up! Do it for him! Our Brother!"
The wolf stares at the boy. Minutes roll by like hours, both just staring. The wolf bows his head, retreating back to his corner.
Looking back over his should to see the boy. His voice quite, almost a whisper "I don't know anymore... I just don't know"
The slow walks over to his corner, slumping against the wall sliding down.
"Do you think Boyde has ...? "
The Wolf lets out a gruff disapproving sound.
"I don't know... we can but hope."
Both sitting ... staring... waiting.

A child's scream echo's down to their prison. Ears perked, eyes alert.
"BROTHER" the boy screams.
"BOYDE LET HIM GO! YOU HAVE HAD YOUR FUN. LET HIM BE!" The wolf voice turning to a wild growl.
Heavy thumps upon the floor above. Movement
